About Zionsville Country Kennel

Meet the Owners

Ron and Debbie Douglas

The Douglases are both animal lovers who were searching for a way to convert their passion into their livelihood.  When they purchased Zionsville Country Kennel in 2010, they made that dream a reality.  Along with pets Quinten and Trinity, they have moved in right next door to the kennel -- in the home where former owners Jill and Dave Brattain lived, in fact.  “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the tradition of loving service to the hundreds of adored pets that Jill and Dave have catered to for so long,” says Deb.  “I look forward to getting to know every single pet and pet owner.  The Brattains have told me that the Zionsville Country Kennel pet owners are the best group of people in the world, and I’m learning that they were absolutely right.”

Buttons the Office Cat

Meet Your Office Cat

My name is Buttons, I’m sure many of you have seen me in the office. I like to refer to it as my home space. I am the second office cat for Zionsville Country Kennel. My predecessor, Kitty, was discovered in one of the fields near the kennel and was a resident until 2009.

I came to Zionsville Country Kennel from a client, Penny B., who used to feed me when I was a stray. I really like living at the kennel. In fact, I much prefer having free roam of the place.

Just a few things you should know about me, I love meeting people. I’m not to crazy about dogs though, they used to chase me when I lived outside. I love to have my head scratched, but please don’t pick me up. Last but not least, I love to lick peoples toes! It’s a habit I just started this summer, so watch out!

If you come to the kennel be sure to stop in the reception room and say hi.
