SEE SPOT WORK
new class begins May 08
(call to reserve your place)
See Spot Work (SSW) is a 6-week series of ongoing activities that will keep your dog busy, build its obedience skills, and help you establish an active working relationship with your dog...all in a fun and social environment. Owners and their family members will learn to mange their dog while exploring different work situations such as off-leash handling, advanced obedience, basic agility, and scent work. Each handler will be able to adjust the difficulty level of tasks based on their dog's current skill level.
Cost is $199, and classes will meet on Saturday mornings, 10:00-11:00am at Zionsville Country Kennel. Class dates are: May 08, May 15, May 22, June 05, June 12, and June 19. SSW will be held outside so participants should dress appropriately.
All dogs must have completed a basic obedience class, or be assessed prior to the first meeting. Up-to-date vaccination records are also required.
Instructors for the class are Janalee Gallagher and Sue Samson. Janalee currently manages training at ZCK and has formally trained working dogs since 1997. She has certified several dogs within the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue system and has responded to multiple disasters as a Canine Search Specialist with Indiana Task Force-1. Sue manages the socialization programs at Zionsville Country Kennel including Kennel Camp and temperament testing, conducts training lessons, and handles many administrative responsibilities around the kennel.
