I am an Office Cat
The Fur Flyer Newsletter

Well hey there y’all! Buttons the office cat here and happier than a frog on log ‘cause it’s finally really summertime! Summer is most undoubtedly my very favoritest time of the year. Butterflies, long lazy days, warm nights full of fireflies and heat lightning, and icy cold bowls of clean water drawn from the creek and set on the porch to quench a powerful thirst. At least, that’s what summer is where I come from. I can’t wait to see what Zionsville has to offer for this lovely season.

By the way, I may go on about how I love the season and all, but the heat of a noon sun I could do without sometimes, as I’m sure y’all will agree. And they tell me even Indiana gets mighty hot this time of year. But don’t fret, because our guests and staff stay cool as a pitcher of lemonade in our air-conditioned facilities. Some of our guests do like to lounge in the sunshine, but on truly hot days they are welcomed into the cooler confines of their air-conditioned rooms for a nap. My favorite nappin’ time is directly after lunch, when I can hand the running of the reception area over to our very capable receptionist.

I’m sure Miss Kitters reminded y’all plenty, but seein’ as it’s outdoor weather now and lots of our clients are socializin’ again, I feel I should do my part as well and let you know that our guests should have three essential vaccinations before they stay with us: rabies, bordetella (commonly known as kennel cough), and distemper. Our feline guests need to have their rabies and distemper shots up to date as well. I know none of us likes to go to the doctor, but I’m afraid we’re pretty tough on this rule here at the Kennel, at rightly so!

Seein’ as it’s comin’ up to dinnertime and naptime, I’d best quit naggin’ y’all and get about my business. Happy start of summer to you!

Keep your chin high and your tail dry!
