Our Policies

Vaccinations

All pets must be current on vaccinations before they will be admitted to the kennel. When making a reservation, we’ll ask for the name of your veterinarian and we will contact them regarding vaccination dates. Some veterinarians are unable to provide vaccination dates due to the most recent HIPAA law. Accordingly, it’s a good idea for you to check with your veterinarian to make sure your pet is current on all vaccinations to avoid any last-minute delays. Remember, all first-time vaccinations must be given at least 10 days prior to boarding. We’ll try to contact you at least one week prior to your pet’s stay if your pet needs an update on vaccinations.

Dogs - All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies
  • DHLPPC
  • Bordetella
  • Must be current on Flea Protection

Cats - All cats must be current on the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies
  • FVRCP
  • FELV

Kennel Camp Dog Requirements

All Kennel Camps dogs must be:

  • Current on vaccinations for Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP
  • Spayed/neutered (after 6 mos)
  • Non-aggressive and not overly protective
  • Free of fleas

Reservation & Payment Policies

We accept reservations as far as one year in advance. Try out PetBookings for 24/7 reservation access or we are happy to take reservations during our business hours. If you need to cancel a reservation, we ask that you do so at least 48 hours in advance. A one-day boarding charge may be assessed for late cancellations. In the event you return home early, you may be asked to pay for the dates you reserved if we were unable to place another pet in that spot.

  • All charges must be paid in full when you pick up your pet.
  • We accept personal checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard).
  • During peak boarding periods. holidays, etc., you may be asked for a deposit to hold your reservation. 
  • Zionsville Country Kennel will not release your pet to anyone other than the owner, unless specific instructions from the owner are requested otherwise.

Frequent Boarder Card Policies

Client is responsible for maintaining and presenting card. We do not stamp card for past boarding dates. When your Frequent Boarder Card is redeemed, you will receive no punches for that stay. This card can not be redeemed during peak periods or holidays, and is not valid for any other services. Each card is per family and the discount is given as a total for that family.


Medical Issues / Emergency Care

In the event we feel your pet needs veterinary attention while under our care, it is our protocol to call you first for directions, unless we determine the issue is serious and time sensitive. If we determine the issue might be life threatening, we will take your pet to the closest Emergency Clinic for immediate attention, and try to contact you on the way. We will continue to try to contact you, or leave a message at the emergency contact number we have on file.
